Our staff has an average of 22 years experience with careers that began in nationally recognized agencies. It’s the breadth and depth of experience that has served as the foundation for our cross training model.

Pam is the founder and President of Media Intelligence.

She spent 12 years in the agency business at MARC and Ketchum Advertising learning the various disciplines of account management, media planning and media buying before venturing out on her own in 1999. Over those 12 years, she quickly navigated from assistant media buyer to VP, Group Media Director. In this position, she led teams in strategic planning on new business as well as nationally recognized accounts including Heinz, Nationwide Insurance, PNC Bank, and Highmark. She was instrumental in creative media initiatives that ultimately landed a win for Media Plan of the Year.

Pam’s background now spans 25 years. Her breadth of client experience includes healthcare, retail, technology, non-profit, CPG, hospitality, financial, manufacturing, education and more. She has in-depth knowledge of media research, audience dynamics and emerging media technology. Today, she uses this knowledge to help clients make the shift from traditional to digital media.

Pam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University. She is a member of the Pittsburgh Advertising Federation and the Media Association of Pittsburgh and she serves as a member of the board of trustees for Grand River Academy boys preparatory school.

She lives in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with her husband Tim and three children, Tim, Lindsay and Ryan.

Daneen brings over 20 years of broad and deep media experience

This includes trade and consumer work on a national, regional and local level.

Her agency experience prior to joining Media Intelligence includes Ketchum Advertising, Omnicom, EPB Group and Brunner during which time she evolved from a Media Buyer to an Associate Media Director. Daneen currently manages all aspects of broadcast buying for Media Intelligence. She is leading the charge in managing the evolution of television fragmentation and how it effects our television and radio media buys.

Daneen has been a member of the Media Association of Pittsburgh for over 20 years and has been a board of director for the organization during six of those years. She has been a volunteer for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and is currently a volunteer for Family House and a member of the American Diabetes Association’s Father’s Day Council in Pittsburgh.

Daneen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992. She lives in the North Hills of Pittsburgh with her husband Matt and son Adam.

Mary Ellen has been in the advertising field for 15 years.

She started her career as an assistant media planner and quickly moved up the ranks at Bozell, Ketchum and Brunner before joining Media Intelligence in 2009.

Mary Ellen’s advertising experience began on the print side but quickly blossomed to include broadcast and digital. Her true forte is her special attention to detail that has made her an invaluable “right hand” to all on the staff. Her thorough vetting of each media vehicle illuminates the best options for clients. Along with that, Mary Ellen is invaluable in her ability to create order out of chaos. Give her data and she makes a story out of it providing insights all along the way.

Mary Ellen graduated from Robert Morris College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a major in marketing. She lives in Pittsburgh with her husband Andy and two sons, Aidan and Trevor.

Debbie Starr

Debbie has 24 years of experience in media planning and buying

She has particular emphasis in the print, B2B and digital arenas. In addition to her extensive experience managing B2B media programs at Alcoa, she worked in media at Ketchum Advertising and Della Femina before joining Media Intelligence 10 years ago.

Debbie has developed B2B plans on more than 50 accounts. She masters the resources necessary for comprehensive plan execution and her attention to detail is unmatched. She has extensive experience in developing nontraditional B2B programs that go beyond the typical trades. She has evolved the discipline to leverage the use of digital for B2B communication and in doing so has helped clients understand how they can use this channel to better communicate a cost efficient, yet scaled business message.

Debbie graduated from Penn State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising. She lives in Chicago with her husband Steve and girls, Lauren and Shannon.

Amy Brennan

Broadcast Media Buyer

Experience

Amy has been planning, buying and negotiating media in this region for 25 years.

She graduated from The University of Pittsburgh in 1988 with Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Advertising. Amy began her media career along side Pam as an assistant media buyer at MARC Advertising followed by media specialist positions with Media Partnership/GNC, RJW and Yellow Submarine before arriving at Media Intelligence in 2012 Her experience has made her an expert in local market media planning and buying as many of her clients have been retail and location based. Amy has worked on some of the region’s biggest brands including Giant Eagle. She brings calm to any serious buying endeavor. Five markets, 10 markets, you name it, Amy is on it.

Amy lives in South Hills of Pittsburgh with her husband and two kids, Ally and Luke.
